🧠Behind CryptoMatters

Updated: 27 July 2026

Hello, I’m Matt Theo.

I’m the person behind CryptoMatters, a website dedicated to cryptocurrency education, wallet security, and practical digital asset knowledge.

Like many people, my interest in cryptocurrency began with curiosity. Over time, that curiosity grew into a deeper appreciation for the importance of security, self-custody, and understanding how digital assets work. I started CryptoMatters as a place to curate what I learn, document my experiences, and help others navigate the crypto space with greater confidence.

I currently reside in Malaysia. Since knowledge has no boundaries, I believe technology should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or level of experience.

Over the years, I have spent more time thinking about wallet security than trying to predict the next cryptocurrency moonshot. In my experience, protecting your assets is often easier than predicting the future.

The content curated on this website is intended to be clear, practical, and beginner-friendly. Whenever possible, I aim to explain complex topics in simple language so that readers can make informed decisions for themselves.

CryptoMatters is an independent educational project where I curate reliable information, practical experiences, and lessons learned about cryptocurrency and digital security. As the industry evolves, I continue learning alongside my readers and share insights that may be useful to the wider community.

I’ve learned a few lessons the easy way and a few the hard way. Fortunately, most of the expensive lessons belonged to other people whose stories I could learn from first.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about cryptocurrency, it’s that technology changes quickly, markets move unpredictably, and forgotten passwords tend to become memorable at the worst possible moment.

Thank you for visiting CryptoMatters and spending a few minutes here. I’m simply someone who enjoys learning about cryptocurrency, wallet security, and digital assets, and I hope the information shared on this site helps you on your own journey.

The crypto world can be serious enough on its own, so if an article occasionally includes a smile, a chuckle, or a light-hearted observation, that’s entirely intentional.
